Sex on Day 4 of cycle

Had unprotected sex with my partner on the 4th day of my cycle. (2nd time having sex with him in general) I still was bleeding from my period. I usually bleed for 3-4 days. He pulled out before he released. Afterward, I bled, period blood, I think. It was red and had a few clumps, like my usual period. Should I still take the 8-pill levornogestrel solution?

Guide

Hello, km0901. Thank you for writing.

We have helped you before on this subject. If there was no ejaculate released inside you (plus, you had your period) there is no realistic risk of pregnancy. Taking emergency contraception if it's not needed will cause unnecessary side effects and a change in the menstrual cycle. Which you already know from the last time. A better option is to use a condom no matter what time of the month it is. Also, it's obvious (from what you said) you were still on your period when this happened. So, I'm not why you seem to question that.
