HELP...Does anyone have a treatment they can recommend for Rosacea... that actually works? I'm having a horrible time trying to get my skin moist and get the redness to go away. I look flush all the time and I've noticed that I'm getting little broken capillaries on my cheeks, nose and chin.

I've had bouts of this over the years but it's gotten much worse. I've tried Noritate cream, washing with cold water and not scrubbing my face. I've gone and had photo facial treatments and nothing seems to be working.

I am open to any treatment. Alternative, RX, diet..whatever.

Any product you can recommend that worked for you...I would love to know about. This is why I created the site.

My doctors don't have the answers. That's why I'm asking you.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best in health,

Michelle

I began to suffer from rosacea in my late fifties. I tried all the over counter products that promise to reduce the redness and spots within hours ....they didn't. i always felt an irritation under the spots which meant I was constantly touching...and made it worse. After the first application of the Made from Earth Green Tea Cleanser & Rosehip Hibiscus Serum - my skin felt calm. No the spots and redness didn't disappear overnight but the skin felt so comfortable that I continued with it for that reason. After 1 week of using the Made from Earth Rosehip Serum there was an amazing improvement and after 2 weeks .....clear of spots and redness reduced . To those who are not having immediate results........I would say 'persevere'. After a month my skin is the best it has been for 10 years.

I have been using silver serum twice a day for 2 months, and I am thrilled with the results.  I am on a mission to spread the word.  I could tell after a week that the product was working for me.    My sensitive, red skin used to be inflamed, and my pores were very enlarged on either side of my nose.

The first thing to change after using Silver Serum was the colour - the redness disappeared after just a few days, and it has not come back. The inflammation also disappeared after a week or so, and my pores seems to be shrinking continually. They are almost invisible now.  I feel that at long last I have normal skin.

Each time I use a pea sized drop, down my nose and down either side (deliberately not coverng all my cheeks) so it seems that a tube will last me several months.

After 8 weeks I have  realised that I don't actually need foundation now, I can just wear primer.

I have tried lots of things over the years for rosacea, including IPL, roaccutane, antibiotics, metrogel, and literally hundreds of over-the-counter creams, soaps, exfoliants and gels etc.  None of those worked any where near as well as silver serum does.

If I had known about this product 30 years ago, it would have saved me literally thousands of pounds, plus all the frustrations of barking up the wrong tree!

Just a warning - after using it for roughly 15 days, suddenly  spots appeared, in places where I have never had spots (e.g. my upper lip, where I had not applied the serum) but they went away, and I have had smooth, clear skin since then.  It was like a mini healing crisis.  Understandable really - I reckon bacteria was on the move, seeking a new place to colonise.

I have now bought some for my mum who also has rosacea.

You need to change the products you are using - for me, I use this rosacea product set I found on amazon for the last 2 months, and I have noticied most of the redness is gone: http://www.amazon.com/Rosacea-Treatment-Organic-Skincare-Set/dp/B00SNV9AAE/ref=sr_1_1?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1422058134&sr=1-1

I'm allergic to a lot of hypoallergenic skin products. Anything that contains the irritant stearic acid will make me break out in blisters, a rosacea outbreak. Many manufacturers, even though they know that stearic acid is an irritant, use it in their products anyway. The Made From Earth Green Tea Cleanser does not. Not only that but it is also non-drying and leaves my skin feeling soft and looking smooth and clean. I have been very happy with it, and my skin issues have cleared up considerably since I began using it.

Be wary of IPL--I had several friends try it with very good results, so I invested the $1500 for the series of treatments. After the first treatment I had dark marks on my face wherever the light pulse had been. It is called mylasma and it was caused by the IPL, so now instead of just redness, I also have darkened skin in several places. It pretty much ruined my skin. This is a rare side-effect, but you need to be aware that it is a possibility and much more than just the one line about "slight darkening of skin" they include in the release you have to sign.

I have dealt with this problem for years and spent thousands of dollars on skin care products that never work. About 6 weeks ago I purchased the Redness Solutions Starter Kit and redness solutions foundation from Clinique. It has calmed my skin considerably and I no longer have the little bumps on my skin and the redness and flushing is not nearly as bad. I had tried this line before and didn't care for it when I was using the cleanser, mild clarifying lotion, moisturizer, sunscreen, and mineral powder. I have found that the mineral powder and sunscreen actually irritate my skin pretty badly, so I skip these. The clarifying lotion was stripping my skin and irritating it as well. So this time I simply use the cleanser (apply to face, then remove with a wash cloth), the moisturizer, then the foundation if it's day time. Remember everyones skin reacts differently, but this one has worked great for me.

I have vascular rosacea and have never found a doctor that truly understands the condition. I pretty much had to diagnose myself. Anyway, here is what has worked for me...cetaphil gentle cleanser; any hypoallergenic, fragrance free moisturizer; IPL therapy; and most of all low dose atenolol. It can be taken regularly or just when you anticipate contact with a "trigger" such as anxiety or red wine. I had to discover this treatment on my own and it has truly been the most effective of all. I think other beta blockers would work just as well but this is what I started with and it is inexpensive with really no
side effects. Hope this helps.

Hi there,
Rosacea has also been something I have had for years, I tried the creams, gels, and antibiotics. Some of them helped with some of the symptoms but none tackled them all. I think that the worst of all the effects have been the emotional impact, my self esteem was underground. If it wasn't for my partner that constantly supported me to try something else as he never lost hope and was always highlighting other aspects of me that he found very pretty and sexy I do not know what would have been of me.
The answer for me came, again from my partner, her was talking to a friend of his and the rosacea theme came about, he recommended my partner to try IPL (intense pulse light). For me this was one more thing to go through, I went to this clinic in London without any hope but well I might as well try it.
Well! what a change!
I am another person, My face has never looked so good!
The treatment hurts a bit but you are able to see the first results within a couple of weeks. In the first year I had to go for a course of 4 treatment, after that I now only go once a year. And it has not only been that the IPL really worked for me but that she also gave me information so I could help myself.
She gave me a list of foods to look out for and avoid as they were the common triggers. It was a long list and of course, I was not susceptible to all of them. It took some time until I found which ones I should be careful with. She also gave me a list of supplements to take which should help to keep my skin healthy. I do not take them all as it would become too expensive for me but I have seen the difference.
Anyone living in London I would definitely recommend then the clinic I went to.

Hope this helps,

My skin went crazy…it felt like it was on fire. Raw and red and such pain!
I went to the dermatologist and he prescribed “MetroLotion” and all it did was burn my skin even more.( This started when I was about 48 years old—other strange health problems were happening at the same time).
I started using the Made from Earth Rosehip & Hibiscus Face Serum also – and my skin is under control. The hideous raw red skin flares occaisionally…I use it daily…
