Hi helen, I'm sorry to address this issue again but I'm a bit scared for I cannot go to a doctor with this because I am only 17. The last time I had my period and the withdrawal bleeding from taking the pill was in the month of june. My period skipped July and it is now the beginning of August and it still hasn't come. As you are aware I took a pregnancy test close to the ending of July and I took another one at the beginning of August, they both came back negative. Hello.

I'm not sure where you live, but you should be able to see a doctor or visit a Planned Parenthood at your age. I'm not saying you need to in this case, just that you should be able to.

Most women will go back to their normal cycle the following month (after ECP). For others, it might take a bit longer. Your negative pregnancy tests are proof you are not pregnant. Stress can impact your cycle, so try to relax. If you have not had issues with your period before taking ECP, then your cycle just needs to sort itself out.

Hellodmahabir123. Thank you for posting today.

A common side effects of ECP (emergency contraception) is a delayed next period. So, you will have to wait for your cycle to sort itself out. You had a withdrawal bleed and a negative pregnancy test so this should ease your mind. You can always test again in a week or two if you are still unsure. For future, it's best to use protection no matter what time of the month. It's less stressful will not interfere with your menstrual cycle.

Hello.

You didn't have sex (intercourse with ejaculation), so there is no risk of pregnancy from the scenario you describe.

best,

Helena
