I have my tubes tied this December making 11 years. Last period was September 7th, I had sex October 4th and on October 10th I spotted for 2 days but no normal period. I have taken 3 pregnancy test but all negative. I have nausea, frequent urination and diarrhea. Can I be pregnant, I'm so confused.?
Oh and I'm 35 years of age, very healthy mentally and physically

Hi Anon,
Thanks for reaching out to EmpowHER!
While in most instances a tubal litigation will protect you from pregnancy, there have been some instances where women still get pregnant after the procedure.
The only real way to determine a pregnancy is by taking a pregnancy test so that's good you took multiple ones. Since all 3 came out negative and you had spotting and sounds very likely that you are not pregnant.
Spotting rather than a normal period can occur for a variety of reasons including medication, stress, travel, illness, birth control, weight loss, and more.
Do you think it might be possible that the nausea is from concern that you are pregnant?
It is possible that combination of symptoms could be a different illness. Typically nausea and diarrhea can be linked to gastrointestinal issues. It could also be stress related due to the thought of pregnancy.
Since you took 3 tests that came out negative, it sounds like you aren't pregnant. But if you continue to experience symptoms like this, it might be a good idea to talk to a doctor to make sure it isn't related to something else.
