Q:

Please help! Pregnancy risk through potential contact with precum?

There was no sexual intercourse at all. I only had my panties on while the guy was naked with his penis erect. We were in a standing position, we were kissing and his precum dripped onto my left thigh, which I wiped away. Is there a risk if some of the precum managed to get on the waistband of my panties and drips down to my vagina? My panties were wet due to my own secretions so I couldn’t tell if his precum did drip onto my panties. Is there a pregnancy risk?

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing!

There is no risk of pregnancy. Pre-ejaculate itself does not contain any sperm. Sperm may be inside the urethra if a man ejaculated recently and did not urinate since. If he urinated since he last ejaculated, there is no sperm at all. Pregnancy is very uncommon from pre-ejaculate and the urethra would have to contain sperm at the same time. Sperm cannot penetrate underwear.
A woman would have to be ovulating and engage in unprotected intercourse with ejaculation in order for her to get pregnant.

Best,
Susan
