This rash is really getting to me. As it is on my face it is difficult to hide. I have naturally pale skin so that makes it even worse. In order to try and hide it i usually wear my glasses all the time. it has been on my face for almost a year. it doesn't itch or hurt at all, I don't even know its there until i see it. it spreads across my nose and a small bit onto my cheeks. as i have said, none of the creams are working, i even tried some natural remedies and they did not work. the doctors say that it is serborrheic dermatitis, but none of the creams to treat that worked. Please help if you can.

I have had this rash of and on for almost 3 years now. It is driving me insane. Just when I think it is gone it comes back with a vengeance. I have tried everything under the sun. It just won't go away. I have been to doctor and one told me it was nerves. The next told me to use a certain cream. It kind of helped for about a week and then It came back again. I all so was prescribed antibiotics that didn't work either. I have always had very pretty skin. Tried everything please help what is this?

Do not under any circumstance use hydrocorsitone on your face, it'll help initially but you actually damage your facial skin even more and seb derm will come back even worse when you stop...and you have to stop eventually as steroid cream thins your skin. It should never ever be used on facial skin.

I have seb derm and i control it to great effect by just applying a raw honey mask for 3 hours one per week which keeps it at bay. Initially you have to put the mask on on every second day for around a month until the rash and dry skin clears, then just go to once per week for maintenance.

I've have the same problem for 5 years now. I treat it with hydrocorsitone USP 1%, it never goes away but it helps reduce the redness and the dry skin til its almost invisible. Then 3 days later it comes back. For those of you that want something to help reduce the dry skin try hydrocorsitone for skin it will help you at least for a couple of days. Or if you want something better try TEPESCOUITLE from Mexico, one of my friends told me about that and it really helps faster.

It's not rosacea, it is seroboric dermatitis, I have the exact same problem, just on the nose and somewhat on the cheeks, Its been about 6 months and my dermatologist told me the same thing, they perscibed protopic I've used that along with every other cream there is and nothing has worked me yet either, but yet I am still trying to figure it out every day.
