Hi Anonymous,
The NYTs article I researched had this paragraph.
"Elizabeth Finch-Howell, the owner and founder of Derma International, a permanent cosmetics manufacturer in Kempton, Pa., believes a minimum of 100 hours is enough. (She got a tattoo that matched her skin tone to cover up a port-wine colored birthmark on half of her face, performing the procedure herself because “I didn’t trust anyone else,” she said.)

This is her link

I would contact her and see what she recommends. If your port wine stain is on your face then like her, I would be very cautious as one could end up with a result that is more undesirable if the skills of the technician are not exceptionally high. That would be most unfortunate so really do some research before you proceed.

Also, I mentioned in my article an organization that provides certification so who ever you go see should be able to show that they have met high standards of training.

Hope this helps.

Hi Anonymous,

Unfortunately, I do not have the contact information that you are looking for. Maybe, the writer of the article can give you more information. You can add your question to her article. You can also use the internet to search for a dermatologist who preforms this treatment and is located near your home.
