Oral sex

Today was the first time my partner and I performed oral sex.
I performed oral sex on him and we had done research previously on what consequences there are. From what I know you can get STIs.... and HIV and such. Although my partner and I are our first sexual partners we haven't had sex only now he has received oral.
I have no cuts from what I know in my mouth, everything went fine... I've never gotten a cold sore he didn't think he did either.

Is there anything wrong with what we did? I'm asking whether there is a likelihood anything could happen knowing we are each other's first?

Just want some reassurance before we do it again.

Hello Linapower

Thank you for writing.

There is no risk of passing infection/disease if neither of you have had previous sexual encounters with others.

If one of us had previously kissed someone before, is that an issue?
