Guide

Dear Anon,

Thank you for visiting the EmpowHER community and for sharing your question.

You are not suppose to take the Nuva Ring out once you insert it. The ring must remain in place continuously for three weeks to protect against pregnancy, followed by a one-week ring-free interval.

The ring should be removed 3 weeks after insertion, on the same day of the week as it was inserted, at the same time. For example, if you insert your NuvaRing (etonogestrel/ethinyl estradiol vaginal ring) on a Monday at 8:00 a.m., you should remove it on the Monday 3 weeks later at 8:00 a.m.

Unfortunately, it probably wasn't effective based on the way you used it.

Here is the link to the Nuva Ring website

Anon, did this answer your question?

Best,

Kristin
