My period isn't due for two weeks but my uterus is sore and I'm having cramps off and on could I be pregnant or maybe ovulating?

Hi ya'll!
I had been on the pill for 7 years and just went off of it in Oct... My husband and I are ttc!
I was suppose to have my period on the 6th of Feb, but i'm 2 days late and I have already taken a HPT this morning and it was negative....
I've been tired and a little sensitive to smell and have had cramping like I'm going to start, but nothing yet... Should I wait another week before taking a test?
I'm really excited to know!!

Any info would help!
Thanks!

Hi Anon,

Give it another week, our periods change every now and then. You're really only one day "late" if it was due on the 6th.
Congratulations on TTC!! Hope it happens for you soon if not this month!

Sending positive vibes your way!

Hi Christine

Hi skye1982,
Please come back and let us know what you find out when you talk with your doctor's office about your scan. I have never heard of a horn, and would be very interested to learn what your doctor says about your condition. I also know all-too-well how every subsequent period can drive you crazy wondering if you are or aren't pregnant. I'm sure when you do find out you are pregnant, your doctor will be on top of monitoring your condition to make sure it is viable and your health and baby's are well cared for.
Good luck! And keep us posted on how you are doing.

Hi I wonder if someone could help me please.
Me and my partner are trying for a baby after having a mc on nov 23 :(, as i had a d & c i wanted to wait at least one period before trying again. Period came 31/12/10 and lasted until the 7/1/11. Before the mc my cycle was always 35 days, so my next period will be due on the 4/2/11. I used an ovulation calander and my fertile day were from 16th - 22nd, We had unprotected sex on the 8th,13th,15th,17th,19th,and the 21st. (sorry if tmi). I started to feel a little more tired than usual and urinating more frequently, Breasts are a little tender also and some mild cramping.I Did a test on the 20th and it was Neg.
Is there a possability that i could be pregnant from these dates and maybe i have tested to early for the pregnancy to show?.
Any help would be appreciated

Hi,
It is possible to be pregnant anytime you have unprotected sex, but please know that women "only" have a 20% chance of conception with each cycle...and it takes most women 6-12 months to conceive. You will drive yourself crazy (I speak from personal experience) if you over-analyze every month's symptoms, because it becomes more and more heartbreaking with each period. Just knowing that you are doing everything you can to conceive, and taking your time (remember: 6-12 months!) and enjoying the process will help you remain stress-free and anxiety-free.

A pregnancy test will not be accurate until AFTER you have missed your expected period. Some tests say they are accurate up to 5 days before your expected period, but to receive a result that you know is 99% accurate, you would need to wait until the start date of your expected period.

Hi Alison
Thanks so much for replying guess i should just wait and see if my period arrives, hopefully it wont :0).
Sometimes i wonder if the symptoms are all in my head to be honest i think like you say you drive yourself crazy because of wanted to be pregnant that you can imagine things. I just wondered if it would take as long to concieve because i heard after a miscarrage (sorry not sure if i spelt it right) you are more fertile than usuall?. It did take me 13 months to fall pregnant the first time just was hoping it would be a bit sooner this time.
Also maybe you could help me on this matter when i went for my scan and the misscarrage was confimed she also said i had and extra horn not sure what she meant or where this extra horn was as she didnt explain as i was to upset to ask.

hi, i have a question...

I recently had unprotected sex (Jan. 7 and 8th) and and i am not expecting my period until the 21st of January..however i calculated my ovulation date and it falls on the 7/8th of January! we used the pull out method but on the 8th he ejaculated and then 5min later we were back at it....im not sure if this is even enough for me to get pregnant!?!? but now (6 days later) i am getting a crampy feeling (on and off) and on the 4th day (after having sex) i had some blood that was a light red/pink. I have also experienced a STRONG case of nausea but i heard that you dont get that symptom this early so i dont know if its related to this or something else. Could i be pregnant...when is the best time to take a test or see a doctor?

Thanks
Nikki
