My mother had stage 4 squamous cell throat cancer and beat it with surgery and radiation 15 yrs but at 55 is severely skinny and having medical problems but no doctors know why she is rapidly losing weight is she dying?

There is no way for me to know this. I think if she were dying her doctor(s) would tell you. If she is eating very little then this would explain her weight. If she is eating as she always has but losing weight, then this is concerning. Speak with her doctor and find out, at this point, what can be ruled out and what else they test for in order to make a diagnosis. It's not unusual for someone going through medical issues to lose weight. It was like that for my father. Depression and loss of appetite are common.
