Q:

My Mom has an Albumin/Globulin ratio of .68. 6 years ago, she was diagnosed with aplastic anemia and underwent treatment. Apparently, it came back. She is scheduled for a bone marrow biopsy soon. Should I worry?

My Mom's biopsy is scheduled for May 13. I'll post the results here as soon as I can get them. In the meantime, I'm asking both friends and family to pray for permanent healing for her. Thanks!

I am sorry to hear that your mom's condition has recurred. The ratio that you provided would be best discussed with your mom's doctor and the lab, as single lab results are not a good predictor of health or of a condition, specifically because each lab has a different set of criteria for what is considered within normal ranges, and other factors are important as well (age, other conditions, weight, etc).

When is your mom's bone marrow biopsy scheduled? Please let us know the results of the biopsy!
