When a period is different that usual, it's not generally concerning. Depending on your hormone levels and where you are in your period (beginning/middle/end) periods can differ. A stretchy consistency is not unusual, especially at the beginning and end of a period. Color can vary from pink to red to brown.
A period can be very light one month and very heavy the next.
