Catherter last night. I'm worried about kidney shutdown. He's in a nursing home at this time.

I'm sorry your husband is ill. I don't blame you, I would be concerned about this also. That he is on antibiotics is good. Voice your concerns to both his doctor and the staff. Ask them about the color in the catheter, and whatever else you are concerned about. We cannot speculate as we cannot know the specifics of his condition and general health.
