When i was dating my husband ,we used to kiss n i enjoyed it very much. However since we got married he has stopped kissing me like he used to. I have asked him several times n he keeps giving me the same excuse, i don't like the smoke. I've cut back alot n even stopped smoking around him,but he hasn't made any effort to kiss my lips,n his affection has changed also. I love him very much but im at my wits end. I do for him as a wife should n only want his affection n his love n time. What is going on?. He says nothing.

Hello Anon
Thank you for writing.
Your husband has said your smoking is affecting him, in terms of kissing. You may not realize how long the smell lingers in your mouth even if you don't smoke when he is around. Use mouth wash when he's with you. It can be a real turn off. Better yet - quit!
Since he is less affectionate in general, he may be drifting away from you in terms of closeness. We cannot say why - he could be depressed or over-worked or stressed. He may not feel as romantically inclined toward you as before. Perhaps counseling would help. Try to talk to him more - tell him you really miss his affection and ask what you can both do to make things better.
