Wow I am having nearly the same condition. My feet, legs, and knees hurt all the time. But it is worse in the morning, and I am stiff as a board when I get out of bed. It does gradually get better throughout the day. I am 5'6 160lbs. But it always still hurts, when I sit or stand in one position for more than 15minutes it gets worse. My muscles tighten, they become stiff. I can't walk down stairs (I can go up, my knees just make creeking sounds). This all started last May, when my right knee swelled up really big (no injury) then fluid traveled all over in my leg, mostly the way gravity took it, to my ankle. I had no insurance at then time, so I had some crutches at home from my Grandfather, I used those because I couldn't walk. It took a week or do for the swelling to go away. I was scheduled to be out of country in July for a month visiting family, so I went even with my leg bothering me (I could walk again at this point). I was there two weeks and got Shingles, I flew home with it and got trated for it. I still can't walk well, and all of my "old" injuries hurt too, like my pinky finger I broke in 4th grade. I strech still daily, and exercise even though it is extremely painful. It hurts so bad I developed a jaw clinching thing I do it constantly, that hurts too (but not nearly as bad). Any ideas of what the heck is going on with my body? Oh I forgot to mention I went to an orthopedic surgeon, and he told me to lose some weight, he sent me for an xray of my right leg, since that is where it all started, and I haven't been back. The xray was negative.

I'll be checking that out! I saw my Naturopath today, she was encouraged by my rise up from severe anemia. Even my heart was pumping softer and more as it should. The pain in my muscles upon rising, she believes is an iron/protein shortage. And my records show very low iron levels. Its a few "Catch-22's"... a properly working adrenal system, zinc and B12 is needed for the production of Hydrochloric Acid which is needed to break down the zinc and B12. Which is needed to help with stress relief vitamins like the B's, which a lack of; may result in enough stress to make the adrenal system tired. Pretty soon you have all these "Catch 22's" and you could go around and around. I'm taking Hydrochloric Acid with potassium, magnesium, calcium, lots of quality liquid whole food vitamins, and now Zyflamend, and iron/B12 shots. More blood tests to see how much I've brought up my blood count... etc.
She was familiar with the Zyflamend and said that was good, keep taking it. So thanks on that one, folks! She basically added more morning protein-type advice, even more exercise, and Yoga for the stress. :) Feewy, I'm tired just thinking about it! (lol)

After reading earlier posts I ordered some Zyflamend. I've been taking it for about 5-6 days. I've also been taking on a little more mineral salt, because unlike a lot of folks I don't retain water, I seem to lose it fast. :) But the pain in my feet and legs in the mornings is much better. I'm holding my breath (actually trying to be sure and not do that). For some reason along with all of this I'm losing this very strange donut of fat around my lower back and belly, which was very weird because I'm fairly thin and active. I also take some natural digestive compound with other electrolytes, and a more alkaline diet, but until the Zyflamend was added to the mix nothing was helping. Seeing a Naturopath Monday to run this all by her. Would still like to know what is the relationship (science-wise) between poor digestion and the muscles.

Poor digestion leads to bowels absorbing megasized molecules before they are broken down properly. This leads to the body treating them as foreign objects and causing an allergic situation. Allergy to substances=inflammation. Inflammation is our enemy. It affects everything. Probiotics help. My allergist told me this, as well as many other sources of information.

Everyone on this thread should read Dr. Barry Sear's website. His books Toxic fat and inflammation have answered so many questions for me and as I am just starting to follow his suggested principles, I am very optimistic, as he describes my conditions to a T and how to help. I highly recommend them. Its all about the inflammation; what causes it, what disease processess it leads to and how to minimize it. I am hopeful.

Hi, I have an update for everyone, I now weigh 135 lbs! I feel much better, I exercise everyday. I do still stiff sometimes in the morning or after really long periods of sitting. After NO help from doctors such as Rhumatologists, etc. I went to see a Chiropractor and diet/nutritionist. I had cold laser therapy done on my knees, hips, neck, and head. After three visits I felt so much better. It was kind of a "reset" of my brain waves talking with my muscles. She also told me that I might have Fibromyalga. But I feel so much better when I exercise everyday, I must move my legs, feet, arms, waist and get a good movement going. I still take my vitamins and Zaflamend. I cut down what "bad" foods I eat. I eat as clean as possible. It has made a big difference. To Anastasia above: Check what foods you are eating, and exercise everyday. I exercise even when it was painful, it actually helped relieve the pain, although not right away. I was not majorly overweight, but I knew that I was really not comfortable being the weigh I was, so I lost almost 30lbs. Just by exercising, work up a sweat and keep going. It really worked for me so far, I feel really really good.

Wow, Jen - that's an awesome weight loss in just 5-6 months! Congratulations on your achievement, and for sticking to your commitment to your own health.

Way to go!

Wow, not pleasant, huh? Could a person, because of a tried adrenal system react to the off gassing of synthetic materials? Worth trying to find some information. But it still comes around to improving systems in you that usually can handle pollutions. But it sounds like inflammation and I'll bet something is tired. Too bad it's so hard to find whole body understanding and help. But take the bull by the horn and start learning everything you can about the adrenal system, and foam, and organs that work extra hard growing babies. Anything you can think of is relevant.! Keep us informed. Start reading! :)

I have the same symtoms....It's horrible. It started about a month and a half or so after having my third child [i had my son 5 months ago]....I was sore at the end of the pregnancy which is common....feet hurt, back....Then I had my son and the pain seemed to subside and was getting much better. Then a month or two went by and suddenly my feet started to ache every morning a little more as each day went by. Eventually trying to get out of bed and stand and even take a step felt like I was being stabbed in the feet. After I would try to walk around a bit, my the pain would subside slightly....BUT then if i were to sit for too long and try to get up and walk around everything was stiff again. Then my joints in my hands, shoulder, elbow and even knee started to become swollen and stiff....but only on some days...my feet hurt everyday....today was horrible getting outta bed. i got blood tests and they said everything was neg...even the xray. So now they want to test my thyroid. Another thing I can mention, which i dont know if it can be a cause is....at the same time my pain started me and my boyfriend received a temper-pedic bed. It was a great bed to sleep on but that is also when my pain started....the doc said it could be something called plantar fascis [spelling?] but what could be causing the joint pain all over....? its been too many months of dealing with this...ibp meds dont even help too good....and...im only 25! maybe i shoulda took more prenatal vitamins during my pregnacies maybe? but they made my stomach upset....i just dont know...but the pain is horrribleeee!

In response to the IBS or Celiac; I was told my stomach problems, ie constipation, dizziness, intestinal pain was IBS, only they called it "Spastic Colon." That was over 30 years ago. And the doctor said stress makes it worse, but they didn't know what the underlying cause was. So for years I just accepted the pale skin, occasional inflammation flare up, and general poor energy. I got into using naturopaths, tried colonics, herbal concoctions, wheat-free, clear off food trips. But it all ended up slowly pulling me down. I'm looking to understand the whole thing well enough to help my body fix itself. I'm staying away from labeling any of this and leaving it at that. I think fibromyalgia, arthritis-type problems, all that is somehow related to food not being properly utilized and therefore some organs are starved and turn the whole thing into a "catch-22". So where is the failure? in my case the stomach? What can I do to get it to work, and then all the systems that are involved. How do you break though dysfunction that has dug a trench? :)

I've been following the low-Hydrochloric Acid phenomenon and bought a reprint of a book written in 1934,"Hydrochloric Acid and Mineral Therapy By Walter Bryant Guy, MD.
Very interesting. It seems a lot of the above symptoms and inflammations can be explained through the understanding of digestion and adrenal system. The acidic condition vs alkaline, etc. also enters into the fray. So my challenge now may be to regulate the stomach function and clear the liver and adrenal system. Maybe taking Hydrochloric Acid and doing a liver cleansing. But of all the liver cleaning ideas out there, which one is real? And it seems maybe a good fish oil, too. More research I guess.
