Hello, me and my boyfriend have been together for 7 and a half years and up until this year things were great between us. He is 22 and I am 23. Recently he has not been in the mood for sex at all. His sex drive comes and goes, he will be in the mood for 2 weeks at a time and then for another month or sometimes 2 months he won't be in the mood to do anything at all. We used to have sex at least twice a week, now it's once a month sometimes and I have confronted him about it multiple times but it turns into a big fight because he gets so angry that I bring it up. He says sex shouldn't be a priority in a relationship and he calls it a chore. All he wants to do is play video games, cuddle, and sleep but no sex at all. I have told him to go see a doctor maybe but he won't go. I have tried spicing things up by getting new lingerie and toys and stuff like that but he doesn't care. Also, he is always tired and blacks out when he's sleepy recently and hallucinates as well but he won't go see anyone about this either. He's been super lovey and affectionate but there is no sexual chemistry anymore and he doesn't seem to care at all. What can I do?

Hello Rshep,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community.

I hear your frustration. Arguing will not help. Has he been under stress at work or experiencing more fatigue?

Regards,
Maryann
