hello all iam 44 yes old female...iam diagnosed with endometriosis and adenomyosis and was advised merina .But Why is my merina getting expelled so frequently asked...my first merina was inserted a year and half back was prescribed meprate along with that....had flow for three months and one fine day it got expelled....and one month later was advised a second merina along with Mefiprestone for amonth all was well for nine months last week even that got expelled...now am on my third merina along with sevista tablet... please suggest what should I do..

Most IUDs stay in place after insertion. Expulsion occurs when your IUD falls out of the uterus. It may fall out partially or completely. Unfortunately, it's not always clear why an IUD is expelled, but the risk of it happening seems to be higher during your period. If an IUD is expelled to any degree, it must be removed.

What did your doctor say? If you feel this form of birth control is not working out for you, talk to your doctor about other options. Below is a list of BC methods that you can look into.
