Medical Question Concern

Hi, I have a question to ask about a medical matter. Awhile back I was in treatment for scoliosis and the doctor was treating me for few years. The doctor I was seeing told me and promised that I will get better and their has been no improvement as the way he promised. I got so little improvement but not the way as promised. We paid so much to the doctor for like nothing. Ever since I didn’t go to him anymore. I’m very disappointed over him especially the amount we paid him. We are tight financially and the money we got for my medical expense was from somewhere who was helping me. I can’t help it in all this not saying nothing to the doctor but I want to

know does it make sense to you for us to make him aware about how I’m doing in a way that he didn’t do anything for my situation especially with such financial situation we have? It’s like I paid for getting nothing in return. I want to make him know about how we think about him does it sound right to you? I feel like we should get partial refund. Please let me know your opinion.

Hello, Melissa6666. Thank you for writing.

Doctors do the best they can. Sometimes treatments they think will help or should help are, for whatever reason, not effective or as effective as they would have predicted. Ask your doctor why he feels you have not had the results he promised and go from there. We were not there so cannot know what was said or what treatments you had. Have an honest discussion with your doctor about your expectations and financial situation.

Good luck.
