Unprotected sex, even using withdrawal (as you did) is never safe during an ovulation period. There is some slim possibility of sperm release.
Since you are late, it's a good idea to take a pregnancy test. We cannot say why you are having vaginal dryness but not all pregnant women have symptoms early on. If you are not pregnant then your period should be along soon.
