Hello Anon

Thank you for writing!

Hawthorn berries are indeed used for various heart conditions so taking a supplement may be a good idea.

Ejection fraction is a measurement of the percentage of blood leaving your heart each time it contracts.

A normal left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) ranges from 55% to 70%. An LVEF of 65%, for example means that 65% of total amount of blood in the left ventricle is pumped out with each heartbeat. Your EF can go up and down, based on your heart condition and how well your other treatments work.

As a precaution, talk to your doctor before taking supplements so that nothing can interfere with any other treatments or medication you may be taking.

Best,
Susan
