Q:

Late second period Plan B one step

July 20th my partner and I had protected sex and upon reinsertion the condom broke. He pulled out immediately and all sexual activity ceased. Within an hour or two I had went and take plan b. Exactly a week later I began bleeding for about 5 days and then brown discharge for about 3. After that it was calm. I took a pregnancy test July 9th and it was negative. It is now August 8th and there is no sign of a period aside from watery discharge. Prior to taking this it was normal that I always had some discharge like this so I have hopes it may be returning to normal. Is it possible that I’m pregnant? I’m not experiencing any symptoms really but I’m just scared out of my wits!

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing!

You're not pregnant - you bled after taking emergency contraception. Your next period is late due to side effects of EC. Your test confirmed you're not pregnant. You should expect your next period 1-4 weeks after your last bleed, meaning up to late August.
