Itching due to fentanyl

I recently have shot injections i my back and they gave me fentanyl in my iv for pain. I have since been itching so bad and my hands burn abd tingle. Is there anything besides benedryl i can take to help

Unfortunately, with pain killers often comes intense itching. It's a very common side effect. To get rid of the itch totally may mean coming off the patch. But if Benadryl is not working, try some home-methods.

Cold compresses can really help with itchy skin, as can being very well moisturized with uncolored, unscented creams like Eucerin. Cool showers, a cool room, with cotton clothing and cotton sheets will also help.

There is a medication called Naloxone that is a narcotic antagonists, used to relieve itch.
