Is it possible to not have any luck getting pregnant even though you are having sex during the allotted time for ovulation?

Yes TS, it is possible. It is called infertility.

Some people get pregnant very quickly, often it takes months to a year, and some people cannot conceive at all by natural means and must either adopt or work with an infertility specialist to try and determine the problem and work to get pregnant.

If you would like to discuss it further or have a more specific question, please let us know. We have a fertility and infertility support group that you may find helpful: https://www.empowher.com/groups/Fertility-and-Infertility.

Good luck and thank you for writing.

(reply to Cary Cook BSN RN)

Thank you Cary. I have 3 children, my youngest is turning 5 and we are trying to have a forth and its been over a yr. This month was the first month that we actually tried when we thought ovaulation would be prominent. My menstrual is due on the 8th of November...I know I am a liittle early with the question but I guess I'm just getting used to the disappointment and wanted to prepare myself. Hopefully it worked this time. Again thank you for the feedback and links.
