Im 43yrs old & just had a Her Option Cryo ablation done on July 6,2010 in my doctors office. Reason for the procedure is I had an extremly heavy period the month before which had me hemorraging for two weeks straight.I became anemic & had to get a blood transfusion. During the bleeding,my Dr.put me on progesterone to stop the bleeding.I experienced no cramping throughout my episode, just extremely tired & week from the anemia.I have no history of uterine cancer, polyps, fibroids or an abnormality of my uterus & ovaries.I had a healthy, natural childbirth 13 yrs ago with no complications. This is what has me stumped! The ablation was more uncomfortable than painful & i experienced a pinkish, watery discharge for about 3 weeks. On Aug.6,2010,I got my first period after the procedure.Im still experiencing clots, not as heavy as before, but it has me scared. Is this normal? How do I know if the procedure worked? How long until i may,if ever see results? Im generally a healthy person.I dont smoke or drink excessively.I only have high cholesterol.I have been on Lipitor for the pass & years.Generally my periods are somewhat heavy, but not like the one i had in June.So thats why my Dr recommended the procedure.Any input would be helpful.Thank you.
