I recently found out that I have a ruptured ovarian cyst and free fluid in my uterus. (not pregnant) I was wondering if this could affect my chances of getting pregnant. I tried researching RUPTURED ovarian cysts online and I could find too much info. It wasn't found by a gynecologist it was found by a different kind of doctor. I have an appointment with a gynecologist on Monday but the thought is driving me CRAZY! Is it going to be harder for me to convince?

Hello and thank you for sharing your question.

Ruptured ovarian cysts can be very dangerous if not treated.  The reason why there is no simple answer as to whether or not it will effect fertility is because it is very dependent on each individual.

During your appointment tomorrow they will be able to determine how long ago it ruptured, if it has caused any other complications, if any long term issues have developed, and if it effects your fertility etc.
