Hi there,

I'm currently suffering from piles / hemorrhoids and I am worried that having sex could cause issues for my girlfriend. If I have haemorrhoids and I have intercourse with her. I just was wondering, will my hemorrhoids cause any risk to her or will she be okay if we have vaginal sex? Thank you.

Guide

Hi, Anon.

Thank you for your post.

As you know, hemorrhoids are enlarged and swollen blood vessels that are found in the lower part of the rectum and anus. They are not contagious, they can be painful and can cause side effects such as bleeding and itching for you (the affected person), not your partner.
