If living in the home with someone diagnosised with pneumonia how does one protect themselves from catching if they happen be contagious? Over 60 with existing health issues. Also child 4 yr old.

A four year old should not be allowed near someone who is contagious. Otherwise, a face mask and gloves should be worn during care for the person, with no shared utensils. Surroundings should be cleaned with bleach on a regular basis. Medical advice should be sought to know how long the contagion will last.
