Hi Natalie,
I also had invasive breast cancer 3 years ago, and Peg's resource, as well as many on this site are so helpful. It is also comforting and informative to connect with other women who have been through these same concerns. There is a maze of information, especially when you are first diagnosed, and there are thousands of us here to guide you along.
Wishing you the very best

Hi Natalie,
PegS provided a great resource, and I hope you continue your conversation with her and other women, both at EmpowHER and breastcancer.org.

We are here to help you find information, resources, treatment options, as well as connect you with other women who are experiencing the same diagnosis. Please let us know how we can help, if you have any specific questions or just want to talk!

Hi Natalie. I am Peg. I understand the fear. I was diagnosed in 7/09 with IDC Stage 1, Grade 2. However I was not triple negative. My Cancer was 100% positive to estrogen and progesterone.
I found a wonderful web site, with LOTS of support from women with breast cancer. This site also helped me decipher my Pathology report better than I understood it at first anyway. And many, many were there to support me every step of the way. This site is: www.breastcancer.org There are numerous resources on this site available to use.
I hope it is okay to post this site here...I am a pretty new member to the empowher site.
Also your Oncologists office should have a "Breast Cancer Navigator" available to speak with you about this and explain things in what I call layman terms. And your Oncologist also should take the time to do this with you. I took a trusted friend with me during the first few months because navigating this journey in the beginning was like information overload for me. So I went in with questions written down and my friend wrote down answers for me. Having another there with me, was so helpful because my brain the first few months was basically a fog.
I am praying for you and wish you the best. I also want to say, sometimes our mind is our worst enemy working over time with the: "What if's." Try not to let the what if's get the best of you. Many have walked this road and will walk this road with you:) Let us know how you are doing and just post here and one of us will get back to you, as well as on breastcancer.org.
