I HAD A COLONOSCOPY AND THE DOC TOLD ME THAT IF I HAVE TOO MUCH GAS TO TAKE DIFFERENT FIBER BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT IS MAKING MY PAINFUL GAS . I HAVE DIFFICULT BOWL MOVEMENTS. WHAT FIBER AM I TAKING THAT IS SO PAINFUL AND I ALSO TAKE STOOL SOFTENER AND SWISS CRISS FOR THE HERBS. II NEED HELP I AM NOT FAT I AM 5' 8' AND 130 LBS. Women should consume between about 25 and 30 mgs of fiber per day. If you are consuming foods with fiber, as well as a 30 mgs per day as a supplement, you may be taking too much.
