i suffer from chronic fatique syndrome and im wondering if my sytem is either producing to much addrenalin or too little

I am recovering from a bad chest infection and my strengh is just on coming back and have been told to rest until my system and adndrenal gland responds. Is this the case

Hi Anon,

The exact cause of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is unknown. Some theories suggest CFS may be due to:

Epstein-Barr virus or human herpes virus-6 (HHV-6); however, no specific virus has been identified as the cause

Inflammation in the nervous system, because of a faulty immune system response

The following may also play a role in the development of CFS:

Your age

Previous illnesses

Stress

Genetics

Environmental factors

As far as adrenal glands, an underactive adrenal gland is a result of Addison's disease and an overactive adrenal gland could be Cushing's syndrome.
