Hello!
I tore my Gluteus, hamstring and inner thigh muscle a few weeks ago. I was basically playing a game which left me in a splits position leaning forward, my foot slipped and I heard and felt 3 consecutive pops in my glute hip area.
I continued going to work until last week when I could no longer walk normally and driving was aggravating it.
so I took a week off and sure enough the burning stopped. today I went back to work and the pain returned (without the burning). Sitting in my office chair hurts, driving hurts! walking fast hurts! but it no longer burns..
am I causing more damage? should I simply work through the pain or should I allow another week to heal??
Thank you!!

Anon - Since you've been in pain for several weeks, and the pain was bad enough to abstain from working, you may want to seek medical attention. When you took time off from work and rested you obviously weren't straining your muscles. Returning to work put strain on them again, bringing the pain. A certain amount of pain is a good thing as your body adjusts back to your normal routine, but it's hard to know what's going to cross the line for you without a physical exam and more information about your injuries. Hopefully you are in a position to get a medical opinion and support so you can get back to feeling 100% again. Take care, Pat
