She cannot find a doctor that can help. She has seen neurologist after neurologist with test after test. She lives in western New York area. Do you know anyone in this area. She has been to Strong Memorial in Rochester but no relief. What about Mayo? Please help. I am very frustrated and worried about her. Her symptoms started about 10 years ago maybewith swallowing issues. But seizures are increasing and becoming longer. Increased rapid eye movement, depression..... help!!!!

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

Unfortunately we cannot recommend particular hospitals or doctors throughout the country but she may need inpatient treatment. I do know that The Rhode Island Hospital Division of Neuropsychiatry and Behavioral Neurology specalizes in this kind of care for those with conversion disorder. It's isn't as close as we'd like but not too far away from NY state. . Perhaps she/you could try there.
We wish you and your sister the best -
Susan
