Severe shortness of breath upon walking bending anything. Sitting just fine. Facing possible major surgery of ablation on heart heart for AFib. Can it safely be done due to my diseases surgery takes anywhere from two to three hours.

It is a concern and definitely something your pulmonary doctor will likely (and should) discuss with the surgeon who will perform the procedure.
You will also need an evaluation with an anesthesiologist beforehand. Your doctor(s) will be the ones to discuss this with.
