Some people with a B12 deficiency may experience oral symptoms, such as soreness, mouth ulcers, feelings of pins and needles in the tongue pain, a burning and itching sensation in the mouth. Rinsing with warm salted water may help with inflammation and soreness. Avoid spicy foods that might irritate your tongue. Speak to your doctor about else can be done,( beyond treating the deficiency) in the meantime. A medicated mouth rinse might be recommended.
