I had a bad flare up which I haven’t had in many years. I know it was my diet, had to get it under control. My legs ache terribly when it flares up, is this normal?

Hello. Thank you for posting.

Leg pain is not a typical symptom of IBS. Symptoms include abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea, and constipation. Also, nausea, passing excessive amounts of gas or urgent need to defecate.

I wouldn’t think so either, but when I am able to go, the leg aches stop.
