Q:

I have had some pain in middle of stomach. Bloated and a little constipated. I noticed a hard egg shaped mass under my ribcage on right side.

Hello. Thank you for writing today.

Only a doctor who gives you a physical exam can diagnose this health concern. Some possible causes: a combination of dehydration and constipation can cause fecal impaction, which causes a lump you can feel under your rib cage. Treating constipation and dehydration would make the lump go away. Various kinds of tumors can occur under the rib cage as can a cyst. Gallbladder attacks from gallstones cause a dull but intense pain under the right side of the rib cage, but would not cause a lump per say.

After an examination, your doctor can tell you more.
