I had unprotected sex on 5th day of my period. He ejaculated inside me. I dont want ro get pregnant. Is there chance of pregnancy. How can i avoid that now. I have a 28-27 days cycle. Please help

You can take emergency contraception, but it should be taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex.

Emergency contraceptives are up to 95% effective when taken as prescribed within the first 24 hours and up to 90% effective when taken within 72 hours. It works by preventing ovulation and stopping a pregnancy from starting. It will not end a pregnancy already in place. If you decide to take it, be sure to read the information that comes with the medication so you know what to expect.

For future, there are many forms of birth control that prevent pregnancy, including condoms, if you don't want to get pregnant.
