Hello Anon

Thank you for posting!

The uterine lining has various levels of thickness, depending on age, the time of the month, and pregnancy. The uterine lining, as it shows up on a scan, is called a "stripe".

After menopause, the lining measures anywhere from 8mm to 11mm. So your scan would show this thickness is normal.

As to your spotting- we cannot say why this happened. If you just reached a year of being period-free, then the spotting could mean menopause is not quite over. Ask your doctor what this may mean for you.
Best,
Susan
