My bf and I had unprotected sex right atfer I just ended my period I took plan B pills and the next day I got my period again even though I just had it 3 days earlier. But now I still haven't gotten my period. Is it possible that I'm just late?

Can anyone please help me? I'm thinking I'm just going to get my period really late. Or is it possible that I am pregnant? Answers asap please.

Hi, I ended my period on Friday morning dec, 7th and had unprotected sex that same night. The next afternoon on the 8th I took plan B. Two days ago i had a light red spot of blood come out. and now, i have very light bleeding. is this an effect of the pill? or could i be pregnant? -Also, ive been on St JOhns wort the past month so im scared it may have effected the plan b.

This is a common response to taking Plan B, and taking St. Johns Wort should have no impact. You can learn more about emergency contraceptives here. https://www.empowher.com/sex-amp-relationships/content/emergency-contraception-update-2010

I had spotting a week after i took plan b and a week after my period, so did the spotting count as a period?

When you bleed after taking Plan B and it was not when you were expecting your period, it would be considered breakthrough bleeding (not a period).

You said you spotted a week after Plan B, and then had your period.
You then spotted a week after your period.

Since you had your period, I am not sure what your question is? Spotting in-between periods is known as breakthrough bleeding, and is normal for many women.

I had my period, got off of my period and took plan b a few days after i finished then about 5 days later i had spotting. So when the spotting occurred i had already been finished with my period for over a week. I am two weeks late for my period and took a pregnancy test and it came out negative but im still waiting for my period and worried.

Hi Anonymous,
It is a known side effect that taking Plan B can mess up your menstrual cycle. A negative pregnancy test is a negative pregnancy test. Please also read the Emergency Contraception Update 2010 article posted above your original question. If you have trouble locating the link, just type Emergency Contraception Update 2010 in the search box then click GO, and the link should pop up on the next screen.

Hi Anonymous,
Plan B does not 'reset' your period.

For more information, please review these articles: Emergency Contraception Update, 2010.

Good luck,

Does plan B reset your period?

Hi JP,
Every woman is different. You should expect to have irregular periods for the next two to three months. This has been the commonality with Plan B.

I hope this information helps.
