Sandhya,

If you did it at a Doctor's office or a Public Health office they should have a record of when you first took your shot. Otherwise, like Pat said try narrowing it down as much as possible. Sometimes I remember by an event or something particular going on in my life at the time. If it has been four years and you are sure then you should be alright.

Hi Sandhya - It's recommended that the pneumococcal vaccination be repeated every five years. It would not hurt you to have the repeat vaccine at four years but there is no benefit to getting it before 5 years. Is there a way you can narrow down when you had the first vaccination? If not then you need to work with your physician who can take your medical history into consideration to determine whether to start the process all over or give you the standard second dose of the vaccination.
