Q:

I believe I may have PAD. I have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday. What can I do in the mean time?

Hello. Thank you for posting.

Peripheral artery disease (also called peripheral arterial disease) is a common circulatory problem in which narrowed arteries reduce blood flow to your limbs.

If you smoke, quitting is the most important thing you can do to reduce your risk of complications from PAD. Other lifestyle changes may be advised by your doctor like exercise and changing your diet.

More information from Mayo Clinic you can read until you see your doctor.
