I went to the ER about a month agowith sharp stabbing pain in my right side...to make the story short they said i had a cyst on my right ovary. sent me home with pain pills. I am currently on my mentral cycle and have had that stabbing pain again since 2pm yesterday and it has not let up. I have vomitted 4 times because the pain is so intense. I have abdominal pressure and kinda feel full. Should i seek medical attention? I just dont want to go to the ER and have them tell me the same thing.

thanks everyone for your comments! I was the one that asked the question...i woke up this morning and the pain is gone! finally after over 24hrs of excruciating pain im back to normal. But it did the same thing last time. I had my last child at home and this was more painful then that! hopefully it wont give me more problems. Fingers crossed!

Hi Anon,

Yes!  Please seek medical attention.  If you have an ovarian cyst and experiencing pain you definitely want to see if it ruptured or if anything else is going on.

I've had a ruptured cyst before and it is very painful and sounds familiar to what you are describing.  Please go get checked out now.

Please give us an update later.
