How to not stress

Hi! So I’m very safe when it comes to sex, I’m on Depo, I just got my second shot on time, and when I have sex I used spermicide condoms and the pull out method using condoms. I’m 16 and my biggest fear is getting pregnant. Although being very very safe, my anxiety still tells me “what if this happens” and I can’t help but stress because I don’t get my period ( due to depo) is there any way I can ease my stress besides getting pregnancy tests? Thank you!

Guide

Hello again, Emmieyk. Thank you for posting.

If you are using Depo no other birth control measures are necessary. Some women still use condoms for protection against STDs if they are not in a monogamous relationship, and that's fine. But if you are this fearful, despite all the birth control methods you are using, perhaps it's time to take a step back and refrain from having a sexual relationship until you are more confident and secure in what you are doing. Emotionally, you might not be ready for sex.

It's time to have a talk with your doctor, as we have helped you many times on this subject. Seeking the advice of a counselor may also help.
