Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

Edema can cause significant swelling especially when left untreated.

Diuretics can be used to help release fluids, and massage can also help. Keep your legs up as much as you can. Can you get compression socks? These can also help.

There is a reason behind edema - when this is found, better treatment can be offered. Was it confirmed that the cause is Hep C?

Can you contact social services for housing, Anon? And to qualify for Medicaid? You can also contact a free clinic. You need medical help.

Best,
Susan
