Can we get pregnant even if we have our period? (thats IF we think its our period)
Just want to know the difference or how would i know if its spotting not a period?? does it always come in the same time as the expected date of period? what would spotting look like?
Because i know women mistakenly think that once they bleed, its menstrual period already. thank you!

Hello my name is Kristina i had unprotected sex the 10-11 of may and had my period april 28th i began to feel weird cramps and bloating mood swings reallybd headaches and sensitivity to smells of food i would have guessed i was pregnant today the 23rd i believe i started my period but i never felt it coming because the light cramps I've been having for a week or so maybe a little longer. And i went to the bathroom wiped and it was a pink brown and wasnt as much as i usually get when i start im usually a heavy bleeder and all day its been a light pink not even going on to my pad much at all was wondering if thats my period or what it would be an early period for me since i started the 28th last month and its may 23rd today? ??

Hello Kristina,

By having unprotected sex you do increase your chance of becoming pregnant.

The discharge that you experienced sounds more like spotting than an actual period. But, it is still early.

How long is your menstrual cycle? On average, does your period come every 28 or 30 days?

If your period is late beyond one week, take a home pregnancy test.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. My boyfriend and I always use condoms when we have sex, and I always take my birth control at the exact same time every day. My period is always extremely regular (it always starts in the early morning on Saturday of the placebo pill week), but this month it didn't start on time. I felt like it was going to start (PMS-type of aches), but nothing happened. I noticed a tiny bit of pinkish blood today (not enough to even wear a pad, though). I don't know if it's my period and it's just extremely light - I've never had one like this - or what. I recently finished final exams, and I just had an OB/GYN appointment a few days ago (just a yearly check-up); do you know if stress over tests or the appointment could have made my period this light, or do you think it's something else? I'm worried because I don't know what is going on, and I'm afraid the worrying might be making it worse.

A little over a week before I was supossed to have my period I had sex (with a condom) with my boyfriend. Right after that I had my wisdom teeth removed and was taking oxycodone for the pain. During this time I thought my period began (and on time) because one morning my underwear were practically soaked in blood, this was on tuesday. So I put a tampon in thinking it was my period, but for the next two days there was only blood when I wiped, and blood clots in my urine. Does that count as spotting or is that a disruption in my period that could have been caused by the pain medicine. On thursday I went to the gynecologist, didnt mention any of this, but she said to start my birth control the first day of my next period. That afternoon my "spotting" sped up so I took it and have continued to for about a week now. Is it possible that the spotting was my actual period? Or was the spotting caused by the medicine and the birth control prevented my actual period? Could I possibly be pregnant? I am very worried, if you have any idea what could be going on it would be much appreciated!
