Can we get pregnant even if we have our period? (thats IF we think its our period)
Just want to know the difference or how would i know if its spotting not a period?? does it always come in the same time as the expected date of period? what would spotting look like?
Because i know women mistakenly think that once they bleed, its menstrual period already. thank you!

So I am 20 years old and me and my boyfriend have been together almost 3 years now we don't use any birth control besides pull out method. Usually my periods are pretty heavy but this month I noticed they are a lot lighter then usual and I will "bleed" for about a day it goes away for a day then comes back lightly again for 2 days then goes away and then came back once again light this has been happening for a week now. Any ideas of what is going on am I mistaking this for a period?

I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend about two weeks ago (5/11). I use a period tracking app and it said I was ovulating that day. However, I got that pre ovulating egg white discharge a little earlier that week. He did not cum inside me and he said he did not feel any pre cum come out at all. My period is supposed to come today (5/24) and I got cramps earlier but they have since stopped.i did bleed but it's very light (lighter than normal) and it was brownish in the beginning but now it's brown with red. I'm a little nervous because I read stuff online that if your period is lighter it may not be your period at all. I don't know if I should wait till tomorrow to freak out, if maybe it will get heavier overnight. I think it's my period but I'm unsure. Please help

Hi, I recently had some vaginal bleeding during my normal period dates, but during that time I noticed my period was very light. Even my boyfriend commented on how light it was, because we were able to have sex during my period and we usually never can because my flow is so heavy. I've also noticed I've been very moody. I woke up a few mornings ago and started crying because of a dream I had. That has never happened before. I took a pregnancy test, but it came back negative. And my next period won't be for another 3 weeks or so. Do you think I'm pregnant?

Hello Anonymous,

If you are having vaginal bleeding, then you are not pregnant.
Were you due to start your period?

Regards,
Maryann

What’s so funny about this is that I’m a registered nurse who went to college for four years and I only learned how to truly count your period a few months ago after doing some research on the internet.
That goes to show how confusing it is! I used to just wear a pantyliner for a week and hoped my period would show up sometime around then. Now that I actually get how to track it, it comes within 2-3 days of when I predict it!

Hi, my period came two days early was heavy-ish (red blood straight away) for 2 days then on day 3 dark brown discharge (no pad needed only noticed when wiping). This discharge stayed for 5 days but was mixed with cervical discharge towards the end. Still have a little brown/white discharge now (day 7). Periods are usually 3-4 days with brown discharge for 2 days after that. Is this normal? Pregnancy? (Sexual active with husband, we use the pull out method, and had sex around my ovulation days). We're not trying to conceive but we're not not trying if that makes sense.
