Q:

How do I fight doctors who refuse to listen to the symptoms I am facing?

Seven years ago I was in a car accident and from the beginning had to fight with doctors to get results to find out what was wrong. It has been an uphill battle ever since. I have gone through five surgeries since that accident and still am faced with chronic pain to which I can not get them to believe what I am telling them. What do I do?

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  Depending on the pain you are experiencing.  You might want to show your doctor the surgeries you have had in the past.  Perhap, getting a copy of your medical records from your previous doctors or you might have to just find a new doctor. Hope this was helpful?

Best,

Daisy
