Q:

How can I tell if a cyst ruptured or exploded without going to the doctors?

Hello there, I'm a 16, about to be 17, year old girl who has cysts growing on my ovaries due to having PCOS a couple of days ago, I felt a strange slightly unpleasant hot feeling around my vagina and seconds a small amount of clear hot liquidy goo came out. I have some small suspicions that a cyst ruptured or exploded, but I don't want to cost my family to going to the doctors in case I'm just being over paranoid. Is there any sure fire way to tell what the strange unpleasant heat was and the goo for that matter? Please help me out and respond as soon as possible, thank you in advance! ^-^

Hello and thank you for sharing your question.
I'd love to give you advice on the matter.
First of all, you cannot have PCOS for one or two days. PCOS is an ongoing hormonal problem.
Secondly, hot gooey discharger is not a common symptom of a ruptured cyst, even though it is unusual. The time to be concerned is when you have a fever, rapid breathing, dizziness, and severe pelvic pain.
If the hot discharge keeps occurring then you should definitely see a doctor. Or if you have other severe symptoms. But for now it is not necessary.
