Surgery went good 11/16/2018 severe pain left side back near kidney its not a kidney stone could something be going on with the stent that i had

It is possible.  Generally speaking,  the most common causes of left (lower) back pain are soft tissue damage of muscles or ligaments that support the spine, injury to the spinal collum, or a condition involving internal organs such as kidneys, intestines, or reproductive organs (in women). Given your history, and since the pain is severe, a doctor's evaluation is needed.
